About Me
Crystal L. Zhang, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, refractive surgery, and anterior segment diseases. She was born in China and grew up in Belgium and Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Zhang completed her ophthalmology residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys caring for a diverse patient community.
Before joining Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, she practiced at Eye Consultants of Rhode Island in Providence and served as a surgical and clinical instructor at Brown University. She graduated from Northwestern University with a full academic scholarship and attended Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Zhang is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Ophthalmology. In her free time, she is a foodie who loves to try new cuisine and travel to National Parks.
