About Me
Corey Waldman, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Sabates Eye Centers, serving patients in Kansas City. He specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and complex anterior segment cases.
Dr. Waldman is a Kansas City native returning home after practicing in San Antonio for the past seven years. He attended the combined six-year BA/MD program at University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed a glaucoma fellowship at Boston University. In 2017 he joined the ophthalmology faculty at UT Health San Antonio where he was an associate professor, the director of the glaucoma service, the assistant residency program director, and the director of medical student education. He has performed over 5,000 surgeries including cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), traditional glaucoma surgery, and complex anterior segment cases, and has extensive experience with premium intraocular lenses. He has presented his research on glaucoma and cataract surgery at numerous national conferences.
Dr. Waldman is a member of the American Glaucoma Society. He speaks fluent English and Spanish and is committed to providing the highest level of eye care to his patients. Outside of ophthalmology, he is a guitarist with a focus in the jazz and blues genres and enjoys hi-fi and vinyl records. He lives in Leawood with his wife and son.
