About Me
Dr. Claudia Richter is a board-certified ophthalmologist who focuses on cataract surgery and the medical, surgical, and laser treatment of glaucoma and diseases of the anterior eye. She serves as Co-President and Medical Director at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and holds clinical appointments at Boston Eye Surgery and Laser Center, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Massachusetts General Hospital, and New England Medical Center. Dr. Richter is also a dedicated teacher at Harvard Medical School, where she instructs ophthalmology residents and students.
Dr. Richter completed her glaucoma fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary after her residency in ophthalmology at the same institution. She received her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and has presented scientific papers nationally and internationally. Dr. Richter is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and she has been recognized with the Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for her contributions to scientific education.
