Dr. Chris Alabiad

Dr. Chris Raif Alabiad is an ophthalmologist specializing in aesthetic and cosmetic ophthalmic surgery and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He holds multiple leadership roles at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, including Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Ophthalmology Residency Program Director. Dr. Alabiad is also the Brand Butcher Youngdahl Chair in Ophthalmology and practices at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Aesthetics Center.

His clinical expertise includes the management of eyelid malpositions such as ptosis, ectropion, and entropion, as well as lacrimal diseases, orbital fractures, and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Alabiad provides care for pediatric oculoplastics, performs enucleation and management of the anophthalmic socket, and treats eyelid and orbital tumors. He also administers Botox for conditions like hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm.

Dr. Alabiad treats patients across all age groups, from infants and toddlers to adults. His research focuses on orbital inflammatory disease, orbital infectious disease, and orbital and adnexal oncology.
