Dr. Charles Pophal

Dr. Charles Pophal is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist who recently joined White Eye Associates. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external eye diseases, providing expert care for conditions such as cataracts and corneal disorders. His training includes a cornea fellowship at Wake Forest University and an ophthalmology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, equipping him with advanced skills in anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Pophal brings unique international experience from his work with the World Health Organization in Switzerland, where he contributed to global eye health initiatives. He is committed to offering comprehensive evaluations and personalized treatment plans for patients with cataract, corneal issues, and other eye conditions.

Pophal focuses on delivering high-quality ophthalmologic care. Outside of his practice, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two dogs, and his passion for sports and nature aligns with the Greenville community.
