About Me
Dr. Cahill is a board-certified ophthalmologist whose clinical focus includes glaucoma care, cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. He works with patients to preserve vision, reduce eye pressure when needed, and improve clarity of sight through cataract treatment. He aims to explain diagnoses and options in straightforward terms so patients can make informed decisions about their care.
He earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans/LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then completed fellowship training in Ophthalmology-Glaucoma at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He attended Tulane University for his undergraduate education in neuroscience. He has been on staff at Ochsner since October 2020 and brings fellowship-trained expertise in both the clinical and surgical management of glaucoma, alongside cataract surgery and broader eye care.
