Dr. Caroline Vargason

Dr. Jackson is an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who joined Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery in 2020. He works with patients seeking both functional reconstruction and aesthetic facial rejuvenation, with care plans tailored to each person’s goals and comfort level. He graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Jackson completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, serving as chief resident and being named resident of the year. He then completed an American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, finishing his training in 2019. His practice spans eyelid and tear-duct conditions, complex orbital tumors, and facial trauma, and he also performs elective procedures such as face, neck, and forehead lifts and skin resurfacing.

Dr. Samuel Welling Beckstead is an ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He treats eyelid malpositions and droopy eyelids, tear drainage abnormalities, periocular trauma, and periocular skin cancers, and he performs a range of eyelid and periocular procedures tailored to each patient’s functional and aesthetic needs. In addition to subspecialty care, he offers cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmic services. Patients appreciate his thoughtful explanations and collaborative approach to surgical planning. Dr. Beckstead graduated from Brigham Young University and earned his medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was inducted into Sigma Sigma Phi. He completed a transitional internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia and ophthalmology residency at the Penn State Eye Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and remains active in teaching and service.
