About Me
Dr. Caroline J. Shea is a pediatric ophthalmologist practicing at Northwest Pediatric Ophthalmology in Spokane, Washington. She specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions in children, including strabismus, cataracts, conjunctivitis, and other vision disorders. Dr. Shea is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Shea completed her medical degree with honors from Northwestern University Medical School's combined BS/MD program. She then underwent ophthalmology residency training at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at The Children's Hospital of Denver and the University of Colorado. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado.
At her practice, Dr. Shea provides comprehensive pediatric eye care, from routine vision screenings to surgical interventions for conditions such as eye muscle biopsies and cataract removal. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
