Dr. Carla Baaklini

Dr. Carla Baaklini is an ophthalmology resident physician at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she provides supervised care for patients with a wide range of eye conditions. She grew up in a suburb of Cleveland and remained in northeast Ohio for her education, completing her undergraduate studies at Kent State University before earning her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. As part of her residency training, Dr. Baaklini is gaining comprehensive experience in the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease, corneal disorders, and urgent eye problems. She enjoys working closely with patients and their families to explain exam findings, review treatment options, and answer questions in a clear and approachable way. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time on Lake Erie, playing volleyball and Spikeball, gaming, swimming, and being with friends. Dr. Baaklini is excited to train in Columbia and to care for patients across mid-Missouri.
