Meet Dr. Can Kocasarac

I specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neuro-ophthalmic conditions, including optic neuropathies such as optic neuritis, papilledema, ischemic optic neuropathy, pseudopapilledema, congenital optic nerve malformations, neuroretinitis, optic atrophy, and genetic optic neuropathies. I also care for patients with double vision and strabismus, nystagmus, cranial nerve palsies, cortical visual impairment, unexplained vision loss, and visual field deficits.

I find it deeply fulfilling to work in the field of neuro-ophthalmology because it uniquely bridges the brain and the visual system—two of the most complex systems in the body. It is incredibly rewarding to uncover the source of a patient’s symptoms and provide solutions that improve their quality of life. I am dedicated to guiding my patients through their care with compassion and clear communication. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and exploring new cultures.
