Dr. Bruce Rivers

Dr. Bruce Anthony Rivers is a military-trained ophthalmologist and laser surgery expert. He completed his undergraduate degree at Temple University and medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Rivers served as Chief of Ophthalmology and Chief of Surgery at Winn Army Hospital and was Director of the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Belvoir.

Dr. Rivers opened Envue Eye & Laser Center at National Harbor in 2021, where he offers advanced laser vision correction, including LASIK and SMILE, as well as cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and other professional organizations. He has co-authored research articles on refractive and corneal surgery.

Dr. Rivers draws on extensive military and clinical experience to provide comprehensive eye care with a focus on laser and refractive procedures.
