Meet Dr. Billy J Haguewood

Dr. Billy J. Haguewood is an ophthalmologist at Palmetto Eye & Laser Center in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Since joining the practice in 2002, he has built a large practice providing comprehensive eye care.

He specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK, and the management of glaucoma, with a particular research focus on intraocular lens design, corneal epithelial defects, and continuous intraocular pressure monitoring. Dr. Haguewood is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the Spartanburg County Medical Society. In 2001, he was honored with the Thomas Frey Award from the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology.
