About Me
Dr. Austin B. Taylor is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in glaucoma. He grew up in Gate City, Virginia, and earned degrees in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Virginia's College at Wise.
He received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami. He then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Kentucky, focusing on helping patients protect their sight.
Dr. Taylor provides glaucoma evaluation and treatment, including advanced options to slow vision loss, along with cataract evaluation and surgery and comprehensive eye exams. He also treats a broad range of eye diseases and prioritizes clear, practical explanations so patients understand their choices and next steps.
