Dr. Arthur Kavanaugh

Dr. Arthur Kavanaugh is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. He serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Department Vice-Chairman at LSU Health Shreveport, where he provides advanced care for conditions affecting the back of the eye.

Dr. Kavanaugh completed his medical degree at LSU Health Shreveport, where he was elected to the AΩA Medical Honor Society. He then finished an internship and residency in ophthalmology at the same institution, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at LSUHSC-New Orleans. His academic commitment and specialized training enable him to offer patients the latest in retinal disease management.
