Dr. Bordewyk earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology, also graduating summa cum laude. Her academic excellence was recognized with the Gayle Rutherford Research Award and the Dr. Joseph Sassani Pathology Award.
