About Me
Dr. Amir Mohsenin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous conditions. He treats a wide range of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. His clinical focus is on providing comprehensive retina care, from diagnosis to advanced surgical interventions.
Dr. Mohsenin brings a strong academic and research background to his practice. He completed a competitive MD/PhD program at UTHealth's McGovern Medical School, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Yale University and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the top-ranked Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. His training and experience have equipped him with deep expertise in the latest retina treatments and surgical techniques.
As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Mohsenin integrates his research understanding of disease processes at the molecular level with his clinical practice. He believes this dual perspective allows for a more complete understanding of each patient's condition and leads to more personalized and effective care.
