About Me
Dr. Amani Fawzi is a professor of ophthalmology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and holds the Cyrus Tang and Lee Jampol Professorship. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and sees patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her research focuses on age-related macular degeneration and ischemic retinal diseases, using advanced functional retinal imaging and image-guided interventions.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Fawzi cares for patients with a variety of retinal conditions, including surgical retinal diseases and medical diagnostic dilemmas. She has a particular interest in diabetic retinopathy, which bridges her clinical work and research. She also treats age-related macular degeneration and other retinal disorders, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care.
