About Me

Dr. Amanda Deasy is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained medical retina specialist who brings her skills to the Richmond area as part of the team at Dominion Eye Associates. A native of Alabama, she completed her medical degree at the Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee, where she was a member of the honorary osteopathic service fraternity Sigma Sigma Phi.

Dr. Deasy completed her medical internship and ophthalmology residency as Chief Resident at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She then pursued additional fellowship training in medical retina at the VA Medical Center in Orlando, Florida, which is affiliated with the University of Central Florida School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, general ophthalmology, in-office cosmetic procedures, and the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retina vascular disease.
