About Me
Dr. Aman Shukairy is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma and anterior segment specialist practicing in Flint, Michigan. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians. Dr. Shukairy founded Premier Glaucoma and Eye Center in 2018 with the goal of preserving vision and providing the highest quality of care to her community.
Dr. Shukairy completed her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2005, followed by a year of transitional medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan, and a surgical fellowship in glaucoma and anterior segment diseases. Her intensive training allows her to excel in a wide range of glaucoma procedures, from traditional filtering surgery to minimally invasive techniques, as well as the latest advancements in cataract surgery and laser eye treatments.
Prior to founding her practice, Dr. Shukairy served as an attending physician at Kresge Eye Institute and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University from 2011 to 2018. She also served as an attending ophthalmologist at the John D. Dingell Veterans Hospital in Detroit. Her clinical interests include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, cataract surgery, and laser eye surgery.
