About Me
Dr. Alon Kahana is an internationally recognized oculoplastic and orbital surgeon with expertise in a wide range of conditions affecting the eyes, eyelids, and face. He specializes in treating thyroid eye disease, drooping eyelids, orbital tumors, congenital ptosis, and blepharophimosis syndrome. His practice encompasses both complex orbital reconstructive surgery and more straightforward aesthetic concerns such as eyelid lifts and facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Kahana serves as Professor of Oculoplastic Surgery and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, and he directs an ASOPRS-approved fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery. He has extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including Botox injections for cosmetic and medical purposes. Patients with rare and complex orbital disorders, including those requiring post-Mohs reconstruction or socket reconstruction, benefit from his advanced skills.
With over 250 orbital surgeries performed each year, Dr. Kahana draws patients from across Michigan, the Midwest, and the broader United States. He is known for his ability to manage the most challenging complications in oculoplastic surgery while also providing care for common eyelid and tearing problems.
