About Me
Dr. Alexandra L. Braunstein is a highly-skilled ophthalmologist who is fellowship-trained in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, also known as oculoplastic surgery. She has received extensive training in aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries involving all aspects of the eyes and face in adult and pediatric populations. She currently offers oculofacial plastic surgery services to patients in the Morristown region of New Jersey.
Dr. Braunstein completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Columbia University Harkness Eye Institute-New York Presbyterian Hospital and a two-year fellowship in Orbital, Ophthalmic Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University, where she continues to train resident ophthalmologists, and holds a significant leadership role as the Section Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Overlook Medical Center.
A proud native of New Jersey, Dr. Braunstein is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. She is deeply involved in her community, serving on the board of directors of The Morris Museum and as Vice President of the Avallain Foundation, and lives in beautiful Morris County with her husband and two young children.
