Dr. Alex Willis

Dr. Alex Willis is a cataract and refractive surgeon at Prairie Eye and LASIK Center. He joined the practice in August 2022 and cares for adults seeking clearer vision delivered with calm, personalized attention. Dr. Willis helps patients choose surgical options that fit their goals—often aiming to reduce reliance on glasses by using modern technology during cataract surgery and offering LASIK when appropriate. He also has special interests in functional eyelid procedures and cosmetic treatments, including Botox, and he welcomes questions at every step so patients feel prepared and confident.

Originally interested in engineering, he graduated with honors from Missouri University of Science and Technology, earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and completed ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where he served as chief resident. He has participated in an ophthalmology mission in Haiti and values collaborative, team-based care with referring optometrists. Outside of clinic, he enjoys biking and golfing and is a longtime fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.
