About Me
Dr. Wassia Khaja Ahmed is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and oculoplastic surgery. She completed undergraduate training at The University of Texas at Austin in the Plan II Honors program and Biology, graduating magna cum laude, and earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Khaja Ahmed completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Florida, where she served as Chief Resident, and then pursued fellowship training in oculoplastics and lacrimal/orbital diseases at Florida Eye Specialists in Jacksonville. She has been in practice for more than five years and has performed over 4,000 surgeries. She is active in professional societies and has authored research posters and publications, with presentations at grand rounds, journal clubs, and surgical conferences.
