About Me
Dr. La Rocca is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the Division Head of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Connecticut Children's. He has been practicing for over 20 years and specializes in the medical and surgical care of children's eye diseases as well as the treatment of adults with strabismus. Dr. La Rocca is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. La Rocca completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Master of Public Health and medical degree from Boston University. He completed an internal medicine internship at Boston Medical Center, a residency at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center, and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He also holds a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
