Meet Dr. Vidya Pradhan Phoenix

Dr. Vidya Phoenix is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for children. She specializes in the early diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia and strabismus. Dr. Phoenix has hospital affiliations with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Southern Regional Medical Center.

A native of Atlanta, Dr. Phoenix earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology and her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University, where she served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Emory University.

Dr. Phoenix has conducted extensive research and presentations on pediatric ocular trauma and bilateral congenital cataracts, with her work published in several ophthalmology journals. She currently serves patients at Thomas Eye Group locations in the Atlanta area.
