About Me
Dr. Thomas Berenberg is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He is dedicated to providing advanced eye care with a focus on retinal conditions.
Dr. Berenberg completed his medical education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, following an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He trained in ophthalmology residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center and pursued further fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the same institution.
He has a particular expertise in managing diabetic retinal diseases, macular degeneration, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal vascular disease, retinal tears, and retinal detachments. Dr. Berenberg contributes to the medical community through authored peer-reviewed articles and presentations at national meetings. He has also volunteered internationally to educate physicians. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, biking, and family time.
