About Me
Dr. Tamara Lee Lenis is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreoretinal surgery at NJRetina. She brings extensive training, having earned her medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, where she also received a Ph.D. Her advanced fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery was conducted at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Lenis has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Heed Foundation Fellowship and the Excellence in Research Award from Stein Eye Institute. She is an active researcher, having authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented at major conferences such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Lenis is a member of key professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Outside of medicine, she enjoys art, yoga, running, and spending time with family.
