About Me
Dr. Sylvia Yoo is an ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric eye disease and strabismus, treating both children and adults. She has special interests in amblyopia and adult strabismus, utilizing surgical techniques that include adjustable sutures to help improve alignment and function.
Dr. Yoo completed her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, followed by residency training in pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. She further pursued a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Yoo practices at the New England Eye Center, focusing on the evaluation and management of complex eye muscle disorders and childhood eye conditions. Her research interests include surgical terminology and outcomes related to strabismus procedures.
