About Me
Dr. Sharon Lehman is a pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cortical visual impairment (CVI) and a wide range of pediatric eye conditions. She maintains a general pediatric ophthalmology practice and serves as a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, where she also holds the role of Emeritus Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs. Previously, she served as Chief of Ophthalmology for 25 years at Nemours Children's Hospital.
Dr. Lehman is recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise in brain-based visual impairment. She has published and lectured extensively on CVI and actively advocates for children with this condition through education and policy initiatives. Her clinical interests also include congenital and developmental cataracts, strabismus, neonatal ophthalmology, and oculoplastics. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
