Meet Dr. Sachin B Patel

Dr. Sachin Patel is a retina specialist who provides care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. Born in Patterson, NJ, and raised in Scranton, PA, he attended medical school in Europe before beginning his training.

He completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center and Stony Brook, where he served as chief resident, and went on to complete a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Tulane University Health Sciences Center and Ochsner Clinic Foundation. With an interest in international ophthalmology, Dr. Patel has worked in the vitreoretinal division at Ulleval University Hospital in Norway and has led surgical mission trips to India. He sees patients at Pottsville Eye Specialists.
