Dr. Russell Huang is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma, bringing advanced expertise from his fellowship training at Northwestern. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the same institution, where he was recognized as Resident Teacher of the Year and served as Chief Resident, demonstrating a commitment to education and leadership. His research includes work on the microbiome of chalazia, contributing to the understanding of eyelid disorders.
Dr. Huang grew up in his father's ophthalmology practice in Washington D.C., which inspired his career in eye care. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern Medical School and has a background in technology, having founded a computer consulting company to modernize healthcare systems.
