About Me
Dr. Peter D. Murr is an ophthalmologist who was raised in Pennington, New Jersey. He completed a double major in Chemistry and Cell Biology & Neuroscience in the Rutgers College Honors Program and was accepted into the accelerated BA/MD program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As a student, he completed clinical rotations at the old Princeton Hospital and had the privilege of learning at Wills Eye Hospital.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and his Ophthalmology residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. During residency, he received clinical and surgical training and provided care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Andrews Air Force Base. Dr. Murr is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Murr provides comprehensive ophthalmology services, cataract surgery, and in-office laser and minor procedures. He speaks intermediate Mandarin and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He enjoys reading, soccer, and tennis and has performed cataract surgery on family members of colleagues and staff.
