About Me
Dr. Pavlina Kemp is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children and adults with eye alignment concerns, including strabismus and amblyopia. She values early and accurate treatment, especially for children, because timely care can support a lifetime of stronger vision and visual development.
Her clinical work focuses on diagnosing and managing eye muscle imbalances, using tools such as detailed eye measurements and treatment plans that may include glasses, prism correction, patching, and eye muscle exercises. When appropriate, she also performs strabismus surgery to help improve alignment and binocular vision.
Dr. Kemp completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and pursued fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology through Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She partners closely with patients and families to create practical, supportive plans that fit everyday life and long-term goals.
