Dr. Nisha Gupta

Dr. Nisha Gupta is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and retinal specialist with fellowship training in medical retina. She provides careful, clinic-based treatment for diseases affecting the back of the eye, with a focus on restoring and protecting vision while helping patients understand each step of their care.

Her path to ophthalmology began in medical school after a formative experience shadowing in clinic and the operating room, where she saw how much vision care can improve quality of life. She completed ophthalmology residency training and then pursued additional fellowship training in medical retina.

Medical retina focuses on diagnosing and managing retinal disease without surgery, allowing many problems to be treated with in-office therapies and close monitoring. Dr. Gupta works to do as much as possible in the clinic and coordinates referral for surgery only when it is truly necessary, with the goal of preventing vision loss and supporting long-term eye health.
