About Me
Dr. Nicole Langelier is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic surgery, with expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the eyelids and cosmetic laser treatments for the skin. She completed her medical education at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master's in Biomedical Ethics, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute and a prestigious fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at Duke University Eye Center.
Dr. Langelier's approach is deeply influenced by her athletic background, which instilled a drive for continuous improvement and a keen understanding of body mechanics. She joined the Virginia Eye Institute in 2017 and employs a customized, patient-centered methodology to address cosmetic, reconstructive, and functional concerns around the eyes, ensuring tailored treatment plans for each individual.
Beyond her clinical practice, she is actively involved in research, having contributed to studies on facial asymmetry and sunscreen use, and published innovative techniques in peer-reviewed journals.
