Dr. Andrew Munro

Dr. Drew D. Munro is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Commonwealth Eye Care Associates, serving patients in Richmond, Virginia. He specializes in comprehensive consultative services, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), oculoplastic consultation and surgery, and orbital and reconstructive consultation and surgery.

Dr. Munro's professional interests include the evolution of aesthetic and reconstructive surgical techniques, as well as diseases of the eyelids such as Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid. His research has resulted in a number of journal publications and presentations at national meetings. He is available to see patients in personalized consultation and on referral for medical and surgical eye care.

Dr. Munro completed an internal medicine internship at VCU and returned to Duke University for his ophthalmology residency and fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also serves as a Flight Surgeon with the Army National Guard.
