Meet Dr. Neal V Palejwala

Dr. Neal Palejwala is a Phoenix native who returned to his home state to provide expert retinal care. He completed his medical education at Jefferson Medical College, graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, where he developed a passion for ophthalmology through research at Wills Eye Institute.

He pursued his ophthalmology residency at Emory University and further subspecialized in vitreoretinal surgery at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Palejwala joined Retinal Consultants of Arizona in 2015 and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, focusing on conditions like age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Palejwala enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Arizona's landscape, and activities like distance running, hiking, photography, cooking, and snowboarding. He and his wife are excited to be back in Arizona, where they keep up with their dog, Apollo.
