Dr. Nathan Carpenter

Dr. Nathan Carpenter provides ophthalmology care for adults and children in southern Minnesota. He offers comprehensive eye examinations and surgical care, including cataract surgery for both adult and pediatric patients. He also evaluates and treats eye alignment concerns and performs eye muscle and eyelid surgery when appropriate.

Raised in North Dakota, Dr. Carpenter earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in 2014 and completed a year-long internship at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in 2018 and pursued additional fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He and his family chose southern Minnesota as home, and he focuses on practical, family-centered plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
