About Me
Dr. Michael Yoon is the Associate Director of the Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Service at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and a member of the Center for Thyroid Eye Disease and Orbital Surgery. His clinical practice focuses on conditions affecting the orbit, eyelids, and tear drainage system, including orbital tumors and inflammations, traumatic injuries, and the need for reconstructive or cosmetic eyelid surgery.
He is actively involved in training the next generation of eye surgeons, serving as the Fellowship Programs Leader for the Department of Ophthalmology and as the Fellowship Director for the ASOPRS Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery program. Dr. Yoon also conducts clinical research aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of orbital diseases and thyroid-related eye conditions.
