About Me
Dr. Vicinanzo specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the orbits, eyelids, brows, and lacrimal system, addressing issues from trauma, cancer, congenital defects, systemic diseases, and aging. He provides comprehensive care for oculoplastic conditions, helping patients improve both function and appearance.
He received his undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard University and his medical degree with honors from the Syracuse College of Medicine at the State University of New York. His ophthalmology training was completed at Vanderbilt University, followed by a two-year ASOPRS fellowship in oculoplastic, orbital, and reconstructive surgery at UAB Medical Center and The Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital.
Dr. Vicinanzo serves as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UAB, where he teaches oculoplastic surgery to residents at multiple hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, involved in research, and has been elected to Best Doctors in America since 2009. For convenience, he sees patients at offices in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery.
