Dr. Matthew Schmidt

Dr. Matthew E. Schmidt is an ophthalmologist who practices comprehensive ophthalmology, offering medical, surgical, and routine eye care to patients of all ages. His services include cataract surgery and refractive surgery such as LASIK, in addition to providing glasses and contact lens fittings.

Dr. Schmidt graduated cum laude from Loyola University, where he also completed his medical studies. He went on to complete an internship at Loyola University Medical Center and an ophthalmology residency at St. Luke's Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology, and the Chicago Medical Society.
