About Me

Dr. Mark Scott Brown is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Oculoplastics, with a focus on treating eyelid disorders and Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). He is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS) and is one of only two oculoplastic subspecialists with this level of training on the Gulf Coast, highly regarded throughout the Southeastern United States. Dr. Brown has over 20 years of experience in managing TED and other oculoplastic conditions.

He is well-qualified to perform cosmetic eyelid surgery involving the eyelids, eyebrows, cheeks, and lacrimal (tear) system, as well as address complications from previous eye surgeries. Common procedures include eyelift, blepharoplasty, and repair of droopy or baggy eyelids, which he offers to patients in Baldwin County and the Gulf Shores area, operating at Daphne Surgery Center.

Dr. Brown has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Alabama and Louisiana State University, and as Clinical Instructor at the University of Illinois, contributing to his expertise in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery.
