About Me
Dr. Mark J. Trevino is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive eye care. As a native San Antonian, he attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his business degree with honors. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Following medical school, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, serving as chief resident.
Dr. Trevino is dedicated to patient education, ensuring that individuals understand their eye conditions and treatment options. He offers advanced care for a range of issues including cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, and he performs eyelid surgeries. He contributes to the medical field as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Texas-San Antonio Medical School and the University of Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he lectures residents on surgical techniques.
Actively involved in the San Antonio Society of Ophthalmology, Dr. Trevino is committed to upholding the high standards of eye care at Ophthalmology Associates, a practice established in 1970. He values the long-term relationships with his patients and finds joy in family time and outdoor pursuits such as hunting and fishing.
