About Me
Dr. Katherine J. Zamecki-Vedder is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in orbital and oculoplastic surgery. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience in surgery and diseases of the eyelids, orbit, and tear duct system. Dr. Zamecki-Vedder is dedicated to providing both cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, using advanced microsurgical techniques to achieve natural-looking results.
Dr. Zamecki-Vedder has a particular interest in cosmetic eyelid surgery, soft tissue augmentation with fillers, and the use of Botox for both medical and aesthetic purposes. She performs hundreds of surgical eyelid procedures each year and is known for her gentle, caring approach. In addition to her clinical work, she enjoys teaching and has lectured at Danbury Hospital, and she volunteers for community vision screenings.
Dr. Zamecki-Vedder is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and she is a member of the New England Oculoplastic Society. She is fluent in Polish and has basic Spanish language skills. Her research has been published in several prestigious ophthalmology journals, and she has authored a book chapter on orbital infections.
