About Me

Dr. Joshua S. Grant is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and comprehensive ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a native of the metropolitan Detroit area. Dr. Grant received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 2004 and attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine, graduating in 2009. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and a fellowship in medical retina and uveitis at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center.

Dr. Grant specializes in the medical management of retinal diseases, including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, inherited retinal disease, and retinal tears. He is an expert in retinal laser surgery for diabetic eye disease, retinal tears, and localized retinal detachments. Additionally, he is fellowship-trained in the treatment of diabetes and macular degeneration with intravitreal pharmacologic injections and practices general ophthalmology for a wide range of ocular conditions.

Dr. Grant recently finished practicing at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center as a member of the retina faculty to expand his availability at Bloomfield Eye Associates. He is on the staff of William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and holds academic appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Central Michigan University School of Medicine and an Instructor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Grant is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
