Meet Dr. Joseph Walrath
About Me
Dr. Joseph Walrath is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon practicing in Atlanta. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, eye socket, and tear drains, as well as treating functional disorders of the eye socket in both adults and children.
Dr. Walrath completed his ophthalmology residency at Columbia University, where he served as chief resident, and then pursued advanced fellowship training in oculoplastics at Emory University. He has served on the faculty at Emory and has been in practice in Atlanta for many years, currently as a full-time member of the Woolfson Eye Institute.
His surgical expertise includes cosmetic eyelid surgery, eyelid reconstruction, eye socket surgery, tear drain reconstruction, and pediatric oculoplastic surgery. He also performs non-surgical treatments such as Botox and filler injections. Dr. Walrath is dedicated to providing compassionate care and has been recognized with multiple awards for his patient-centered approach.
