About Me
Dr. John G. Dodd is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care with a special focus on glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes-related eye conditions, corneal diseases, retinal disorders, and hypertension-related eye issues. He is dedicated to helping patients maintain and improve their vision through advanced medical and surgical treatments.
A native of Oregon, Dr. Dodd graduated from the University of Oregon in 1997 and worked as an ophthalmic technician in Eugene. His passion for helping others led him to participate in two eye mission trips to Thailand, which inspired him to become an ophthalmologist. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency in Detroit, where he served as chief resident. He returned to Oregon in 2011 and has been practicing in Eugene and Salem for over a decade.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Dodd enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and is an avid Oregon Ducks fan. He and his wife are committed to volunteering in medical missions and exploring the Northwest's culinary scene.
