Dr. John Bogard

Dr. John Bogard is a board-certified ophthalmologist and experienced laser eye surgeon with over 5,000 LASIK procedures performed. He specializes in refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK, and is known for his technical expertise and commitment to safe, effective vision correction.

Dr. Bogard pursued a unique path to medicine. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and working in the computer industry, he attended the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He served as a medical officer with the United States Marine Corps and as a naval flight surgeon before completing his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Bogard has served as Department Head of the Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery Clinic at Naval Hospital Bremerton and at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where he provided refractive surgery training for cornea fellows. He is committed to providing a safe and pleasant experience for each patient.
