Meet Dr. Joanne C. Wen

Dr. Joanne C. Wen is a glaucoma specialist at Duke Health who focuses on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts. She believes in partnering with patients to create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Because glaucoma requires lifelong care, Dr. Wen values building long-term relationships with patients and their families to manage their eye conditions effectively.

Dr. Wen's research interests center on developing new technologies to diagnose glaucoma and innovative ways to measure eye pressure. Her work aims to detect glaucoma at earlier stages and improve the accuracy of eye pressure measurements, which is critical for guiding treatment.
