Meet Dr. Jessica Adefusika Olayanju

Dr. Jessica Olayanju is an ophthalmologist who has been practicing in Connecticut since 2018. She earned her medical doctorate at Mayo Medical School and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she served as Chief Resident. During her training, she received academic achievement, research, and teaching awards, and she participated in glaucoma and oculoplastics research projects that led to first-authored publications and a book chapter.

Her medical and surgical interests include cataracts, premium intraocular lenses (IOLs), minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, diabetic eye exams, ocular trauma, and eyelid surgery. Dr. Olayanju is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). She has also served as a teaching assistant for first-year medical students and has been actively involved in community service and professional committees.
